1About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SOCIT Private Limited (“SOCIT”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in India (CIN U62099TS2026PTC223668) with its registered office at Flat No. 101, Plot No. 553 & 554, Vyavasaayi, Ameenpur, Ramachandrapuram, Medak 502032, Telangana, India. By creating an account or using the SOCIT app or socitapp.com, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Cancellation and Refund Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use SOCIT.
2Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Indian law.
- You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code, or with Google. Keep your phone and account secure. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One person, one account.
- Tell us straight away at support@socitapp.com if you think someone else is using your account.
3How SOCIT works
SOCIT is an online marketplace. Salons, pet groomers, car washes, gyms, clinics and other businesses listed on SOCIT are independent. They are not SOCIT’s employees or agents. When you book, your contract for the service is with the business. The business is responsible for the service itself: its quality, safety, licences, staff and premises.
SOCIT provides the technology to find and book businesses, take payments, send updates and resolve problems. We check businesses before they go live and act on complaints, but we do not guarantee any business or its service. Information on listings, such as prices, photos and hours, comes from the business.
4Bookings
- At the shop: a booking is confirmed when SOCIT shows it as confirmed. Please arrive on time. A business may shorten or cancel a late booking.
- At home: an at-home request becomes a booking only when a provider accepts it. You must give an accurate address and be available at the agreed time, and a safe place for the service to be carried out.
- Changes: you can reschedule or cancel in the app, subject to the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
- If the business cancels: you will be told and refunded in full for anything you paid through SOCIT for that booking.
- Booking for others: if you book for a family member or a child, you are responsible for that booking and for the information you give.
5Prices and payments
- Each business sets its own prices. The price, any taxes and any advance payment are shown before you confirm.
- Payments through SOCIT are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay, using UPI, cards or other methods it supports. SOCIT collects payment on behalf of the business and passes it on after deducting our fees.
- A GST invoice is issued for each payment made through SOCIT.
- Some services may ask for an advance when you book, with the balance paid at the visit. Payments you make to a business directly, such as cash at a gym desk, are between you and that business.
6Gym memberships and passes
- A membership or day pass is personal. Don’t share or transfer it. Your QR pass changes regularly to prevent sharing, and each visit is recorded when you check in.
- A membership runs from its start date for the length of the plan. A day pass is valid for one visit on the chosen day.
- Freezes are available only if the plan and gym allow them, up to the days shown on the plan, and some gyms approve freezes first.
- Group classes can be booked within the plan’s eligibility, or as paid drop-ins where offered. Each gym’s house rules also apply when you are on its premises.
- If a gym adds you as a walk-in member, you will be asked to confirm the membership in the app. If it isn’t yours, tell us using “Not me”.
7Clinics and doctors
SOCIT helps you book appointments with independent clinics and doctors. SOCIT does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Doctors are solely responsible for their medical services, prescriptions and records. Cooper and other SOCIT features do not give medical advice.
In an emergency, don’t use SOCIT. Call 112 or 108, or go to the nearest hospital.
8Offers, coupons and loyalty
Offers, coupons and loyalty rewards are subject to the conditions shown with them, such as dates, minimum amounts, eligible plans and limits per customer. They have no cash value, can’t be exchanged or transferred and may be withdrawn. We may cancel a discount or reward obtained by mistake, fraud or misuse.
9Cooper AI
Cooper is an AI assistant that helps you search, compare and prepare bookings, and helps businesses understand their own data. Cooper can make mistakes. Check the details it shows you. Nothing is booked or paid until you confirm it. Don’t rely on Cooper for medical, legal or financial advice, and don’t use it to generate harmful, unlawful or abusive content.
10Reviews and content
Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience. Don’t post anything false, abusive, discriminatory, obscene or that shares someone’s personal information. By posting a review, photo or other content, you allow SOCIT to show it in the app and on the website and to use it to promote SOCIT. You keep ownership of your content. We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.
11Acceptable use
When using SOCIT, you must not:
- make fake, speculative or fraudulent bookings, reviews or accounts
- harass, threaten or abuse a business, its staff, a customer or SOCIT staff
- try to take a booking off SOCIT to avoid fees, after finding the business through SOCIT
- copy, scrape or resell SOCIT’s content or data, or use bots to access SOCIT
- interfere with SOCIT’s security, reverse-engineer the app, or access accounts or data that aren’t yours
- use SOCIT for anything unlawful
12Terms for businesses
If you list a business on SOCIT, these additional terms apply.
- Verification: you must hold any licences, registrations and permissions your business needs, and give us accurate details, including GSTIN where applicable and payout details. We may verify them, and may refuse or remove a listing.
- Your listing: keep services, prices, hours, staff and availability accurate. Honour the bookings you accept and the prices shown when the customer booked.
- Fees: every new business gets an introductory period, currently 60 days from going live, with no commission. After that, SOCIT charges a commission on bookings, memberships and passes paid through SOCIT, at the rate shown in your business app before it applies. Clinics and doctors pay a monthly subscription instead of commission. Fees are exclusive of GST, and we tell you before we change them.
- Payouts: amounts collected through SOCIT, minus our fees and any refunds, are paid to your account through our payment partner on its settlement schedule.
- Customer data: use customer information only to provide the booked service. Don’t copy it out of SOCIT, contact customers for your own marketing, or ask for their phone numbers to get around SOCIT.
- Your responsibility: you are responsible for your services, staff, premises, taxes and compliance with the law, and for any claims arising from them.
13Our intellectual property
The SOCIT name, logo, app, website and Cooper, and all their content, design and software, belong to SOCIT or its licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any of this to you.
14Disclaimers and liability
We work hard to keep SOCIT accurate and available, but SOCIT is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, SOCIT is not liable for the services a business provides, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid through SOCIT for the booking or plan concerned, or, for a business, the fees you paid SOCIT in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
You agree to compensate SOCIT for losses caused by your breach of these Terms or your misuse of SOCIT.
15Suspension and closing accounts
You can close your account at any time. See Deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account, or remove a listing, if it breaks these Terms or the law, puts others at risk, or if required by authorities. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. Bookings and payments already made are handled under the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
16Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most problems can be solved quickly. If a dispute can’t be resolved, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction, without affecting your right as a consumer to approach a consumer commission.
17Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as SOCIT changes. We will tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use SOCIT afterwards means you accept the updated Terms.
